Texas is a prouder state than any other in the union, and that pride should include locally produced wine. Our goal is to introduce you to world class wines grown right here in our own backyard, by hardworking Texans just like you.

Texas is the new frontier of winemaking, but its roots run deep. At J.W. Hardin Wine Co., we believe wine should tell the story of its place—not just through soil and grape, but through history, legend, and the people who shaped the land.
Our name is born from local lore. In 1874, outlaw John Wesley Hardin shot Sheriff Charles Webb just steps from our front door. The Victorian building that now houses our tasting room once held the First National Bank of Comanche. Today, it stands as both a landmark and a living tribute to the bold stories that define Texas.
We source fruit from our Estate Vineyard in Comanche and from premier growers across the state to craft wines rooted in Texas terroir. But more than that, each bottle carries a sense of place—where storytelling and winemaking meet.
