Our Team
Every winery has a beginning. Ours began with friendship.
United by a love of Texas Agriculture, History, and Hospitality, Dr. Travis and Rebecca Conley, alongside Dustin and Meredith Barker, set out to create more than a place to enjoy a glass of wine. They envisioned a gathering place where remarkable Texas wines, rich stories, and genuine hospitality could be shared around one table.
That vision continues today—from the vineyards we farm in Comanche County to every bottle we pour and every guest we welcome.

Dr. Travis Conley, Land Steward
Every great vintage begins with healthy soil.
Travis’s journey into wine began where many great vineyards do—in the soil. While earning his Ph.D. in Soil Science at Texas Tech University, he met Rebecca, and on their very first date she introduced him to his first glass of Texas wine. That single evening sparked a passion that would ultimately shape the future of JW Hardin.
In 2017, Travis joined Brennan Vineyards as an agronomist and bottling line operator, gaining hands-on experience from vineyard to bottle. Since then, he has worked with vineyards across Texas, helping growers achieve their goals through thoughtful site selection, soil pit analysis, fertility management, and sustainable vineyard practices.
Today, Travis serves as the steward of JW Hardin’s estate vineyards in Comanche County, where his philosophy remains rooted in one simple belief: exceptional wines begin with healthy soils, resilient vines, and a deep respect for the land. Every vintage is another opportunity to let the vineyard tell its story.

Rebecca Conley, Brand Architect
Rebecca’s fingerprints can be found throughout every aspect of JW Hardin—from vineyard planning and winemaking to brand development, graphic design, operations, compliance, guest experiences, and the stories behind every bottle.
Her journey into wine began in the hospitality industry of New York City, where she developed a deep appreciation for the role exceptional service plays in creating memorable experiences. That foundation, combined with earning a Bachelor of Science in Viticulture & Enology from Texas Tech University, led her to a career in winery operations, serving as a Director of Operations, winery operations consultant, and contributing to consumer education initiatives that help introduce more people to Texas wine and the industry behind it.
Today, she brings those experiences together at JW Hardin, believing a winery isn’t defined simply by the bottles it produces, but by the experiences and memories those bottles help create. Her vision is to celebrate Texas agriculture, honor the stories of our past, and welcome everyone to discover the joy of wine—one bottle, one story, and one shared table at a time.

Dustin & Meredith Barker, The Believers
Every great story needs someone who believes in it from the beginning.
Long before the first bottle was poured, Dustin and Meredith were helping turn an idea into a place people could gather. From late nights of renovation and countless conversations to steady encouragement and unwavering friendship, they’ve been part of JW Hardin every step of the way.
Today, as partners and some of our closest friends, they continue to shape the welcoming spirit that defines our tasting room. Their belief in this dream helped build it—and their hospitality is one of the reasons guests feel at home the moment they walk through our doors.

Staci Pruitt, The Heart
Every great story needs someone to tell it well.
A proud Comanche County native with a passport full of stamps, Staci has traveled the world while never losing sight of the place she calls home. Those experiences shaped her appreciation for different cultures, people, and the universal language of hospitality—but they also deepened her love for the history, community, and character that make small-town Texas so special.
As Tasting Room Manager, Staci is the heart of the JW Hardin experience. Whether she’s introducing someone to their first glass of Texas wine, sharing the history behind a label, or welcoming returning guests by name, she has a gift for making every visit feel personal.
She believes the best hospitality isn’t complicated. It’s making people feel seen, welcomed, and like they belong. Around here, she’s the reason so many guests leave feeling less like customers and more like friends.

Belle Sealy, The Road
Not every story is told within the walls of the tasting room.
As JW Hardin’s Brand Ambassador, Belle takes our wines on the road, introducing new audiences to the stories, history, and hospitality that define our winery. Whether she’s pouring at festivals, community gatherings, or special events across Texas, Belle brings the warmth and welcoming spirit of JW Hardin wherever she goes.
With an infectious enthusiasm for people and a genuine love of sharing Texas wine, she’s often the first introduction someone has to our brand—and she’s the reason so many of them make the trip to visit us in Comanche.

Colten Jones & Kody Pruitt, The Boys Next Door
The best neighbors don’t just share a wall. They share a vision. Neighbors don’t compete—they collaborate.
As the team behind Baby Cow Brewing, Kody and Colten have been part of the JW Hardin story since the beginning. Together, we’ve created a destination where wine and craft beer lovers alike can gather, share a table, and discover the best of what our community has to offer.
Whether it’s collaborating on events, celebrating milestones, or simply lending a hand when it’s needed, their friendship and partnership remind us that the best things happen when neighbors work together.
If you visit one, you’re always encouraged to visit the other—because just a few steps apart, you’ll find two businesses built on the same belief: great drinks are best enjoyed in great company.
